Title: Data Analyst (Alteryx) Consultant
Office Location: 88 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A 3BP
Reports to: Innovation Management
Working hours: 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday standard working hours, dependent on client demands.
Summary
We are looking for a skilled and driven Data Analyst Consultant to join our Tax Credits team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using Alteryx to design, build, and optimise workflows, enhance data processes, and support analytical initiatives. This is a newly established role, aimed at consolidating various data tasks that are currently managed across multiple team members. The ideal candidate will bring both focus and expertise to drive efficiency, whilst also exploring new opportunities for improving our data analysis and Alteryx capabilities.
Experience and requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in a data analysis or consulting role.
- Advanced proficiency in Alteryx and Excel.
- Experience with Tableau is preferred, though not essential.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills (statistical modelling is preferred but not a requirement).
- CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Workflow Development: Utilise Alteryx to design, build, and optimise data workflows, ensuring they meet business requirements and improve existing processes.
- Data Processing and Analysis: Work closely with the Tax Credits team to process and analyse complex datasets, delivering timely and accurate insights.
- Alteryx Optimisation: Identify opportunities to use Alteryx for process improvements and automation across the department.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that will improve team performance.
- Reporting & Presentation: Present findings and recommendations in clear, concise reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with best practices in Alteryx, statistical methods, and other relevant tools to continually enhance data workflows.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently, managing time efficiently, and prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
