ERM and Ayming are leading the way in sustainable innovation, bringing together key stakeholders to form a supply-chain consortium for green solvents. This consortium will apply for up to £10 million in Innovate UK funding under the Sustainable Medicine Manufacturing Innovation Programme.
This webinar’s purpose is to collect input from organisations across the chemicals and life sciences sectors and begin building the consortium for funding this summer.
Why this matters
Solvents contribute the highest aggregate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of any raw material group in pharmaceutical manufacturing. However, the industry has limited access to low-carbon, renewable solvents. Our consortium will tackle this challenge by accelerating the development and adoption of green solvent technologies.
This webinar is a unique opportunity for companies and research organisations across the chemicals and life sciences sectors to help shape the funding proposal, provide input on innovation challenges, and explore partnership opportunities.
Who should attend?
We are seeking organisations with expertise or interest in:
- Medicine manufacturing (with UK-based assets)
- Solvent production & industrial applications
- Green chemistry & renewable/recycled chemicals
- Regulatory frameworks & supply chain/cost dynamics
- Renewable feedstock production
- Research organisations with expertise in the above areas
Webinar agenda
- Project Overview – Understanding the consortium’s objectives & structure
- Interactive Workshop – Industry challenges, feedback, and potential roles in the project
- Next Steps – How to express interest and join the funding bid
