L&W’s partnership with Ayming
L&W and Ayming have been partnering since 2017, when Ayming first completed their claim for the 2015 and 2016 financial years. Over the past 6 years, we have developed a strong working partnership to identify L&W’s projects that qualify under the HMRC R&D Tax scheme and deliver robust claims with accompanying detailed technical project reports.
Ayming’s expert team
Ayming’s team was led by Naomi Ikeda, Senior Manager, along with Maxine McKenzie, Assistant Manager and Sarah Bandy, R&D Consultant. The team worked closely with L&W, carrying out detailed technical interviews with the L&W team: Adrian Gascoyne, Managing Director, Kevin Kirkland, Director of Construction and Marc Babin, Technical Manager, to assess which projects and activities were eligible. The Ayming team also challenged the technological claims made in respect of the projects to ensure eligibility within the scheme.
Results & Innovation
Land & Water’s eligible projects for the latest financial year included an industrial-scale swing bridge they had designed, which could be operated through a manual system by a member of the public. This represented a large gain in capability for the size of bridge which could be operated using a manual system.
The full engagement from technical interviews to delivery of the values and accompanying technical reports was delivered in just eight weeks, a testament to the expertise and engagement of the L&W and Ayming teams.
